Winch outs for stuck vehicles

If your vehicle slid off the pavement into mud, sand, a ditch or wet grass, Yayi’s Towing can winch it back onto solid ground. If it still drives, you go on your way. If not, we tow it.

Winch outs

When to call us

  • Stuck on a soft shoulder after heavy rain
  • Slid into a shallow ditch
  • Bogged down in a sandy lot or dirt road
  • Spinning on wet grass at a yard or event

How it works

  1. 01

    Describe it

Tell us where the vehicle is and how it’s sitting.

  2. 02

    Set up

We park the truck on firm ground in line with the vehicle.

  3. 03

    Hook up

The winch line goes to a proper recovery point.

  4. 04

    Slow pull

We pull at a steady pace until it’s back on pavement.

Have this ready

  • Stop spinning the wheels
  • Whether the vehicle is upright and stable
  • Whether anyone is still inside
  • Where the tow hook or recovery point is

Good to know

Stop spinning the tires

Spinning wheels dig the vehicle in deeper and can overheat the transmission. Once you’re stuck, turn off the engine and wait for the winch.

Winch-out questions

Is a winch out cheaper than a tow?

Often, because there’s no trip to a drop-off. We’ll quote it on the phone.

Will winching damage my vehicle?

We attach to recovery points and pull slowly to keep stress off the body and suspension.

What if it’s deep in a ditch?

Describe it or send a photo, and we’ll tell you whether it’s a winch job before we come.
