Battery jump-start service

If your car clicks or won’t crank, a dead battery is the most likely cause. Yayi’s Towing comes to your home, work or the roadside in Polk County and jump-starts it.

When to call us

  • It clicks when you turn the key
  • The dash lights are dim or flickering
  • Lights or the radio were left on
  • The car sat unused for a few weeks
  • The battery is three or more years old

How it works

  1. 01

    We arrive

We park close and open the hood with you.

  2. 02

    Connect

Cables go to the battery or the car’s jump points.

  3. 03

    Start

Once it starts, we let it run for a few minutes.

  4. 04

    Check

If it won’t stay running, we can tow it to a shop.

Have this ready

  • Where the hood release is
  • Keys in hand
  • Any warning lights you noticed

Good to know

After the jump, keep driving

Drive for 20 to 30 minutes so the alternator can recharge the battery. Florida heat wears batteries out faster, so if the car dies again soon, have the battery and alternator tested.

Battery jump-start questions

Can a jump-start damage my car?

Done correctly, no. We connect in the right order and check the battery first.

What if the jump doesn’t work?

It may be the starter or the alternator. We can tow the car to a shop.

Can you jump a hybrid?

Many hybrids have a 12-volt battery that can be jumped. Tell us the model and we’ll confirm.
